Visionary Solutions: Showcasing OCUCO’s Optical Software Portfolio
Ocuco pioneer systems for clinical recording to be used by independent optometrists. Over 8000+ sites in 77 countries use Ocuco to provide their customers with simple & flexible solutions.
They needed a web solution to showcase their large portfolio of optical software solutions for different audiences with different needs and interests.
The Approach
Our collaborative partner approach was strengthened with mixed methods research and data driven insights.
From the initial discovery stage our project process accommodated multiple sprints to include all stakeholder feedback, helping Ocuco create a simple, elegant, easy to use site that is visually compelling.
The Big Problem
After conducting in-depth research and analysis we identified two key challenges:
01. Proofing: Despite providing solutions to very different audiences research for Ocuco revealed all customer types sought additional proofing content to build trust regardless of geographic location or demographic.
02. Navigation: The previous navigation didn’t support the customer journey and this is due to menus changing from page to page – often if you click on a page part of the menu might change.
Information for independents and chains was often overlooked by users, potentially due to how it was presented and the lack of integration into the site structure – albeit with a separate menu. Thus, a major consideration was to integrate customer types into the navigation.
The User & Brand
Ocuco needed to accommodate to multiple target audiences including independent businesses, chains and labs.
The colour scheme and typography of the Ocuco website conforms to the recent rebrand changes whilst also being easy to read.
The use of relatable photography and iconography reflects and aligns with the industry to showcase an end-to-end integration that is clear and concise.
Tailored Experiences
Each target audience goes through a different journey on the website leading them to dynamic content pertaining to their own unique interests.
Examples include Independents gaining access to the PM system while chains require omnichannel solutions.
